COOKIES
Friends of Callander Moraine's website does not collect any personal, identifiable information about visitors. Our site works exactly the same from the visitor's point of view whether cookies are turned on or off.
We do, however, use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. To provide this service, Google Analytics sets a cookie on the visitors' computer which tracks how and when the visitor uses the site, i.e. which pages are visited, for how long, and in which order they are visited, etc. These cookies also track how the visitor arrived at the page - for instance, if they came to the site via a search engine - and whether they return, and they tell us how many unique visitors have browsed our site. This service is device-specific, not person-specific.
Please note: Google Analytics does not collect visitors' IP number, nor does it collect any other personal, identifiable information.
For more information about what data is collected and why, please see Google's page: How does Google use cookies for Google Analytics?
If you would like to know more about cookies, why they're used by websites and how to set your browser to block or accept them, please see the excellent website AboutCookies.org.
